A rainy night, a SUPER SMASH BROS. SATURDAY!!!

Tonight’s song comes from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and can be heard in the hands of all the characters or on Mario Bros. stage. That’s right, it’s the Wrecking Crew!

The best part about picking up that Golden Hammer is not gaining the power to mercilessly crush your foes; it’s the tune that plays! The Wrecking Crew theme is pure 8-bit bliss, sporting a bass line that runs through the jam like a river.

Blast this jam, and begin to WRECK!

UPDATE: I’m sorry I haven’t been reblogging stuff that much lately, I’ve been quite distracted. I just bought Pokemon White (which I’m not too fond of) and my school year is just around the corner. To those who follow, I apologize, but my once-a-week flurry of reblogs may only occur bi-weekly. Now that THAT’s out of the way…

It’s time for a late edition of SUPER SMASH BROS. SATURDAY!!!

This week’s song is Forest of Hope from Pikmin on the Gamecube! It made it’s smash debut on the Distant Planet stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

This tune is quite soothing, and I figured it was time to show Captain Olimar a little love. This is the kind of tune that makes you want to lay back and take a good snooze. Although, it also works as an ass-kicking melody.

Enjoy the hope that I am giving ya, and have a smashtastic Saturday!!!

Fuck ALL Y’ALL!

I just ordered a DSi XL of Amazon, along with Pokemon Heart Gold and Pokemon Platinum for 135 bucks.

I will soon commence my downward spiral into OPD (Obsessive Pokemon Disorder). Nature selection and EV training, HERE I COME!!!

(And yeah, they were used, FUCK WIT ME!)

Should I post my Super Smash Bros. movesets?

When I was young (not really that young, but younger than my current age), I used to make Super Smash Bros. movesets for characters not owned by Nintendo. When I say “move-sets”, I don’t mean just their potential special moves, I mean every.single.possible.move. Their A tilts, smash attacks, jump attacks, throws, and sometimes even their recovery moves (like when a character attacks from the ground, or is climbing up an edge). I would write and describe their attacks in fine detail, and I would use my imagination to play those moves out.

I created movesets for popular video game characters such as Travis Touchdown, 3 for Jak and Daxter (his light and dark side had separate moves), 3 for Banjo-Kazooie (1 as them together, and then them separated), Leon S. Kennedy, Mr. Mime, Togepi, and others.

I also dipped into the anime realm, and made movesets for characters from Naruto, Samurai Champloo, Samurai Seven and Fooly Cooly. And, on occasion, I would create characters from scratch and give them some sweet moves.

I’m debating whether or not I should post some of the movesets on my blog. I’d like the interwebz to see how super cool and creative and smart and g-status I am, but I fear that my ideas will be either stolen or borrowed from.

Either that, or Nintendo will grab ‘em and use them and I’ll get NOTHING. >:l
